and actively participating in our local church. You and
your family are valued as an integral part of God's family
and Kingdom! Your support of Hopewell has been and continues
to be sincerely appreciated by the total membership. |

you are interested in beoming a member of
HCOG, please pick up a Membership Packet.
They are available in the foyer and for download
on ths page. Read thru the packet, and please
attend class Sunday, August 8th and Sunday,
August 15th in Classroom B (9:45 - 10:30
am). If you are not already a member,
we look forward to you joining our family! |

| We
would like to extend to you an opportunity to join
in membership commitment. At Hopewell, we recognize
the need for a formal membership. We would like
to ask you and your family to commit for four (4)
reasons: |

| A
Biblical Reason: Christ
is committed to the church. " . . . Christ
loved the church, and He gave His life for it." Ephesians
A
Cultural Reason: It
is an antidote to our society. We live in an
age where very few want to be committed to
anything... a job... a marriage... our country,
etc. This attitude has even produced an attitude
that has crept into the church throughout America.
That is, an attitude of no commitment, responsibility,
or accountability. Membership is an unselfish
decision. Commitment always builds character.
A
Practical Reason: It
defines who can be counted on. Every team
must have a roster. Every school must have
an enrollment.
Every business has a payroll. Every army
has an enlistment. Even our country takes
a census
and requires voter registration. Membership
identifies our family.
A
Personal Reason: It
produces spiritual growth. The New Testament
places a major emphasis on the need for Christians
to be accountable to each other for spiritual
growth. You cannot be accountable when you're
not committed to any specific church family. |

and other material, including a copy of membership
covenants and statements of faith, are located in
a membership packet in the church lobby. If you are
interested in membership, please pick-up one of these
packets. There will be an opportunity for church
membership given regularly.
